Kimberly Davis | English Language Arts Teacher


Deanna Duerson | Science Teacher

Deanna Duerson joined the K12 team in 2014. She is a 38-year veteran teacher. She earned a bachelor’s in biology with a minor in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Ms. Duerson coached basketball and I know to her students as “Coach D.”


Dylan Hancock | History Teacher


Jason Harrison | History Teacher

Jason Harrison has been with ISOK since 2017 and has worked 13 years in education overall. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University.


Kaylee Huerta | Electives Teacher

Mrs. Huerta started with ISOK in 2020. She has worked in brick-and-mortar as the art teacher for Tulsa Public Schools in elementary and middle school. She has a Bachelor of Art Education form NSU and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Tulsa. She currently lives in Tulsa with her husband and two sons.

Sarah Laird | 6th Grade Teacher


Alejandra Marchesano | Spanish and General Electives Teacher

Ms. Marchesano started with ISOK in 2020. She has a degree in business administration from Universidad de Manizales in Colombia and a teaching certification from the Oklahoma State Department of Education. In Colombia, she worked in quality assurance and training as a coordinator and manager. She also taught English to kids and adults. In the U.S., she has worked as a long term substitute for the 4th grade and taught Spanish in a middle school.


Krystal Medina | Science Teacher

Ms. Medina started with ISOK in 2020 but had been a teacher for five years prior to that. She has a bachelor’s in secondary science education with an emphasis on Earth and space science. She graduated in 2015 from Northeastern State University and is finishing a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University. Ms. Medina’s five years of teaching were all at Tulsa Public Schools at Clinton and Webster Middle School and then Memorial High School.


Andrea Molder | Mathematics Teacher

Ms. Molder started with ISOK in 2019. She graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s in mathematics education.


Angela Walton | Reading Interventionist

Ms. Walton has spent over 30 years in education serving as teacher, instructional facilitator, SIG (School Improvement Grant) member, gifted & talented director, pre/ap coordinator, assistant principal, and principal. She has also been a college board consultant. Ms. Walton retired from education and spent six years with the library system in the outreach department as project coordinator for literacy programs. She has a bachelor’s in elementary education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a master’s in educational administration Southwestern from Oklahoma State University.


Jennifer Pace | Lead Teacher and History Teacher

Ms. Pace came to ISOK in 2018 with nine years’ experience in education. She has a Bachelor of Science in education with an emphasis in social studies from Missouri Southern State University. Previously, she taught at Cascia Hall in Tulsa for nine years. She was able to do half of her student teaching in Southampton England.


Ashley Deskin | English Teacher

Ms. Deskin came to ISOK in 2018 with eight years of teaching experience. She absolutely loves teaching seniors. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from East Central University. She has taught at several brick-and-mortar high schools throughout her career and has taught every grade level from 6th–12th.


Christia “Lynnette” Durant | Math Teacher

Mrs. Durant has taught high school since 2012 and is certified in intermediate mathematics, mid-level math (5th- 8th grade), business education, and career tech business. Mrs. Durant graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in business management.


Larry Ensminger | Math Teacher

Mr. Ensminger started with ISOK in 2020. He has a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from East Central University in Ada. Since earning his degree, he has 24 years of experience in education. Mr. Ensminger’s favorite hobbies are exploring, learning, and discovering. He likes to explore with his wife by bicycle, backpack, or sled. ​They have nine grandchildren, spread across America from Oregon to Florida. They love spending time with them.


Kelly Hamrick | History Teacher

Ms. Hamrick started with ISOK in 2018 with four years prior experience. She graduated from Oklahoma State University and previously worked in middle schools.


Leigh Hibbard | English Teacher

Ms. Hibbard came to ISOK in 2020 with two years of experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Vanderbilt University.


Kaylee Huerta | Electives Teacher

Mrs. Huerta started with ISOK in 2020. She has worked in brick-and-mortar as the art teacher for Tulsa Public Schools in elementary and middle school. She has a Bachelor of Art Education form NSU and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Tulsa. She currently lives in Tulsa with her husband and two sons.


Nicole Jarvis | Science Teacher

Ms. Jarvis holds Oklahoma teacher certifications in chemistry, physical science, and mid-level science. She has a bachelor’s degree in food science & nutrition from Brigham Young University. Ms. Jarvis has post-baccalaureate professional work experience in food quality assurance, food distribution sales and marketing, and four years of experience in high school math & science education. Additionally, she is a 25-time Boston marathon qualifier!


Beth Johnson | Math Teacher

Ms. Johnson graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s in administration, and later went back to earn a certification in education. She started with ISOK in 2019 having previously taught for seven years.

Michelle Martin | Math and English Electives Teacher

Ms. Martin teaches electives such as ACT Prep and study skills classes to help improve students’ skills in Math and English. She went to college for English education, but almost immediately got certified in mathematics because she loves both so much. Ms. Martin has been with Oklahoma’s K12 since 2014, and in education since 2012.


Leah Mills | Focus Phoenix/Night School Coordinator

Ms. Mills has been with ISOK since March of 2021. She has a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science and ethics from Mid America Christian University and a master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. Before joining ISOK, Ms. Mills worked for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Developmental Disabilities Services as a case manager.


Jonathan O’Hearn | Business Electives Teacher

Mr. O’Hearn began teaching in 2009 as math professor for a college in Colorado. From there, he moved into active duty army where he ended up teaching ordnance for three years, followed by preventive medicine instruction for three more years. He left active duty to administer a scholarship program at a tech school in Oklahoma for three years, and then taught ROTC at NSU in Tahlequah. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from SNU in Bethany, OK and has started a Doctor of Education (D Ed) at ORU in Tulsa, OK. Mr. O’Hearn has had a large cross-section of job types since he began working, ranging from a barista to banker to manufacturing inspector. He has spent time in three different branches in the Army: infantry, medical, and logistics in the OK National Guard. He has always felt that teaching was where he excelled and looks forward to making a difference at the Insight School of Oklahoma.


James Oliver | Science Teacher


Erika Penuel | English 3 and Creative Writing Teacher

Ms. Penuel started with ISOK in 2019 and has been working in education 18 years overall. She has earned four postsecondary degrees. She holds a bachelor’s in broadcasting and film with a minor in Theatre from the University of Central Missouri and a bachelor’s in elementary education with an emphasis in English/language arts from Ottawa University at Kansas City. Her first master’s degree was in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in integrating technology in the classroom from Walden University. Her second master’s was in educational leadership with an emphasis in administration from Northcentral University.


Taylor Popham | Social Studies Teacher

Mr. Popham came to ISOK in 2020 with six years previous experience. He received a bachelor’s in history education from University of Central Oklahoma in 2014. Before ISOK, M. Popham taught social studies and photography for Piedmont Public Schools.


Kayla Stewart | Math Teacher


Lisa Stiefel | Science Teacher

Ms. Stewart came to ISOK in 2015. She has been teaching high school science since 2007 and was a coach for eight of those years. Ms. Steward has a bachelor’s degree in secondary science education from Northeastern State University and is currently pursuing a master’s at Southern New Hampshire University. She is a powerlifter, and actively competes in strongman events.


Sheena Walker

Ms. Walker started teaching at ISOK in 2018 with eight years experience. She has a bachelor’s in English education with a minor in art from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, as well as a master’s in information media from the University of Central Oklahoma.


Nicole Price | Special Education Manager

Nicole Price joined the ISOK team in 2022. She started with OVCA in 2020 after 19 prior years teaching experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from West Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in Special Education/Educational Diagnostician from Texas Tech University, and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. In her experiences, she has been a teacher, diagnostician/psychometrist, and an elementary and high school principal.


Elizabeth Bley | Special Education ELA Teacher

Elizabeth Bley is an American Literature teacher at Insight School of Oklahoma. She joined the ISOK staff in 2021, her 38th year to teach. She has a Bachelor and Master degree from Southern Nazarene University. 


Brenda Chambers | English Language Learner Teacher

Ms. Chambers works with middle and high school students at both OVCA and ISOK. She started with OVCA/ISOK in 2018. Previously, she worked for Broken Arrow Public Schools for 10 years. She has 13 years of classroom experience, a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Carson Newman College, and graduated in 2019 with a master’s degree in human development and family science from OSU. She has Oklahoma certifications for Pre-K–2, 1–8, and EL. Ms. Chambers has a great passion for dual learners and their families and enjoys working with them.


Maygen Clark | Special Education English Teacher


Tami Cotner

Ms. Cotner has lived in Oklahoma since 2012. She received a bachelor’s degree from Boise State University in Idaho. She has been a teacher since 2008 and moved to ISOK in 2020.


Linda Ghali | School Special Education Math Teacher

Ms. Ghali has been with ISOK since 2018, and has worked in education for seven years. She has a Master of Education in autism from NS and a bachelor’s in biochemistry from University of Maryland.
