For recent high school graduate Yanieliz A., earning her diploma is a testament to her perseverance. It is also proof that life’s circumstances do not have to determine what comes next.

A young mother from Tulsa, Yanieliz balanced working full time, raising two children and navigating personal challenges while completing her education at Insight School of Oklahoma (ISOK). Her path to graduation wasn’t always easy, but she remained focused on building a better future for herself and her family.

“ISOK gave me the flexibility and support I needed to keep going, even when life was challenging,” Yanieliz recently told TulsaPeople Magazine. “Earning my diploma showed me, and hopefully others, that your circumstances don’t define your future.”

Since 2014, ISOK has worked to help Oklahoma students find their own paths to success. The school serves students who may have fallen behind in traditional classroom settings or who are at risk of dropping out because of life circumstances, including housing insecurity, pregnancy or involvement with the justice system.

Through flexible learning options, individualized instruction and dedicated counselors, ISOK works with students to meet them where they are and help them continue moving toward graduation.

That approach is resonating with families across Oklahoma. ISOK has experienced continued enrollment growth in recent years, as more families seek individualized options for their students.

For Yanieliz, graduation is not the end of her educational journey. She hopes to build a meaningful career helping others. This fall, she began preliminary nursing courses at Tulsa Community College.

Most importantly, she hopes her experience can encourage other young women who may wonder whether graduation is still within reach.

Yanieliz’s story shows what can happen when perseverance meets the right support. By earning her diploma and continuing her education, she is creating new possibilities for herself, her children and her family.

Enrollment at ISOK remains open for the 2026-27 academic year. For more information, click here.
