Meet Mrs. Shannon: A Passionate Educator at ISOK
Hello everyone! I’m excited to share a little bit about myself and my journey in education.
This year marks my 21st year in teaching, and I couldn’t be more proud of the path I’ve taken. For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching Physical Science at ISOK, a place that truly feels like home. One of the things that makes ISOK even more special to me is that my husband, Kyle, also teaches here. It’s wonderful to share this passion for education together.
Outside of the classroom, I have a few hobbies and interests that keep me inspired and energized. I’m an avid reader and have built a home library with over 1,000 books—it’s my happy place! I also enjoy long-distance running, which helps me clear my mind and stay active. When it comes to food, Mexican cuisine is my favorite, and I’ll never say no to chocolate. Another fun fact about me: I collect watches, and I love finding unique pieces to add to my collection.
What I love most about working at ISOK is the impact we make. I truly believe that we provide an environment where students can flourish and succeed, and that’s what drives me every day. Making a difference in the lives of our students is not just a goal—it’s a mission I’m proud to be part of.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. Here’s to another great year of learning and growth at ISOK!
